"We are talking about €1bn lost in four years due to piracy. In the year the pandemic started, we also lost €1.5bn. This is a world where the much maligned club presidents have lost vital resources, without help from the government," said Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A, on 21/06/2022.

Luigi De Siervo spoke during the "general assembly on the fight against piracy between legality and security" held at the Ara Pacis auditorium in Rome (ITA), together with Valentina Vezzali, the Italian government's cabinet undersecretary in charge of sports, on 21/06/2022.

"In order to combat the phenomenon of piracy, it is necessary to work together at institutional level with the various operators to analyse the problems and be able to provide timely solutions," explained Valentina Azzali.
