The Turkish pay-TV group Digiturk, a subsidiary of Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group, has renewed its domestic and international broadcasting rights for the Süper Lig and TFF 1. Lig (Turkish first and second division) until 2023-24, announced the group on 24/06/2022.

The rights were acquired for a sum of less than $370m (€352.6m) per season, according to several media outlets, an amount that corresponds to that renegotiated and paid by beIN Sports for the 2021-22 season.

Digiturk had acquired the domestic and international broadcasting rights to the Süper Lig, over the 2017-2022 cycle, for an estimated $590m (€550m) per season on 21/11/2016. The value of these rights was renegotiated downwards due to strong exchange rate fluctuations of the Turkish lira on 02/08/2019.

  • "Digiturk, with its flagship sports channel beIN Sports, is the largest ever investor in Turkish football, having partnered with Turkish football for over 21 years. Thanks to beIN Sports' international network, Turkish football is currently broadcast worldwide in more than 105 countries," said Digiturk on 24/06/2022.
