Stade Rennais FC: Piverdière training centre to be extended by 3.6 hectares by 2025 (€35m)

Stade Rennais FC (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and Rennes City Hall (Ille-et-Vilaine, FRA) jointly presented on 24/06/2022 the project for the club's future training centre, which will increase in size from 11.4 to 15 hectares after works starting in September 2023 and ending in summer 2025.

The Henri-Guérin training centre, which has been located in La Piverdière to the west of Rennes since 2001, currently houses only Stade Rennais' professional squad and administrative headquarters. The club's ambition is to also house the amateur section and the learning centre (school and boarding school) by occupying a larger part of the Prévalaye area, in this case on land belonging to the city of Rennes.

The new infrastructure "will benefit from 8 classic-sized pitches, compared to 7 at present, but also from specific areas, including one for training goalkeepers in order to optimise the space available.
