Formula 1: Disney (ESPN) extends broadcasting rights in the USA until 2025 for $75m/year (press)

The Walt Disney Company, parent company of the American sports channel ESPN, has extended its full and exclusive rights to broadcast Formula One in the United States until 2025, according to Sports Business Journal on 27/06/2022.

Disney has reportedly extended the rights for between $75m and $90m (€71.3m and €85.5m) per season, according to US media reports, which is 15 times more than the current deal for the 2019-2022 cycle ($5m, or €4.75m).

The Grand Prix will be broadcast on The Walt Disney Company's ESPN (pay-TV) and ABC (free-TV) channels. Certain races will be broadcast exclusively on the OTT platform ESPN+.
