European Top 5/summer tours: USA, Asia (excluding China) & Australia, the preferred destinations

After two summer periods disrupted by the Covid-19 health crisis in 2020 and 2021, resulting in a decline in international trade, a number of clubs from the European Top 5 have decided to tour outside Europe again during summer 2022.

The United States is their preferred destination to prepare for the 2022-23 season, but also and above all to deploy marketing operations in a target region where they already have many fans and/or major sponsors. FC Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF (a Barça-Real "clásico" will be held in Las Vegas on 23/07/2022) and Juventus FC are among the teams concerned.

The Asian continent will host Liverpool FC (Thailand and Singapore), Paris Saint-Germain (Japan), Tottenham Hotspur FC (South Korea), Sevilla FC (South Korea) and Manchester United FC (Thailand). It should be noted that none of the clubs will be travelling through China, which previously hosted many clubs before the Covid-19 crisis. The reason for this is the decision by Xi Jinping's regime to close the country due to the development of the pandemic.
