France/La chaine L'Équipe: 1.5% audience share (a record 2.8% for men aged 25-49) in 2021-22

La chaine L'Équipe (free DTT) posted an audience share of 1.5% during the 2021-22 season, with a record 2.8% among men aged 25-49 (+12% compared to the 2020-21 season), according to data from the French audience measurement institute Médiamétrie communicated by the L'Équipe group on 04/07/2022.

In the 25-49 age group (men and women combined), the channel also achieved its best audience share since its launch, with 1.8%, an increase of 12.5% compared to 2020-21.

The Ballon d'Or ceremony, broadcast live on La chaine L'Équipe on 29/11/2021, drew an average of 1.6 million viewers, with a peak audience of 2 million when the trophy was awarded (audience share: 6.6%). This was the best audience of the season for the channel and an all-time record for the ceremony.

The men's Mass Start (biathlon) in Le Grand Bornand, won by Frenchman Émilien Jacquelin, drew 1.4 million viewers on the channel on Sunday 19/12/2021 (race start at 14:45 CET).

In total, L'Équipe has exceeded the one million viewer threshold 11 times in 2021-22.
