TikTok: +125.4 million followers for European Top 5 clubs in 2021-22 (+15.7 million for Paris SG)

The 83 clubs (out of 98) participating in the European Top 5 leagues that have an official account on TikTok have a total of 210.2 million followers on the social network as of 04/07/2022, i.e. 125.4 million more than on 01/08/2021, according to data compiled by News Tank Football.

With 28 million followers, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) is by far the most followed European club, ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 18 million) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, 17.8 million). Second in the ranking in August 2021, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 16.5 million fans) ended the 2021-22 season in fourth place.

Paris Saint-Germain, 2021-22 French champions, posted the best increase in absolute balue with 15.7 million additional followers accumulated over the season. Manchester United FC (Premier League, +13.1 million followers), Real Madrid (+11.2 million) and Tottenham (+11.1 million) were the other three clubs to have gained more than 10 million followers.
