France/FFF: Olympique Lyonnais, Le Havre AC & AS Saint-Étienne, have the best academies in 2021-22

The National Technical Directorate (DTN) of the FFF and the Ligue de Football Professionnel's joint committee have published a report on the efficiency of French academies (document available to download), which evaluates the academies of 35 Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and National 1 clubs, on 07/07/2022.

The highest scores awarded in this evaluation were obtained by Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 4.55 stars out of five), Le Havre AC (Ligue 2 BKT, 4.10 stars) and AS Saint-Étienne (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 3.85 stars).

The five criteria used to analyse each club were:
⚽️ professionalisation (U16 to U23 under professional contract in the top two divisions of the top ten countries in the UEFA rankings and the National 1);
⚽️ playing time in the first team of the club of origin;
⚽️ national caps (international matches played by the player, regardless of nation);
⚽️ schooling (diplomas obtained during the previous season);
⚽️ European representation (players from clubs with points in the UEFA ranking, with a training contract of at least one year).
