Wimbledon 2022: a record streaming audience (53.8 million live views) on BBC platforms

The BBC posted a record streaming audience for the 2022 edition of the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament with a total of 53.8 million live views (up from 30.5 million in 2021) on the OTT platform BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport online, announced the British public broadcasting group on 11/07/2022.

On television, a total of 25.5 million viewers watched the Wimbledon tournament on BBC Group channels in 2022, compared to 25.8 million in 2021.

• The men's final, won by Serbia's Novak Djokovic over Australia's Nick Kyrgios (4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6), reached a peak audience of 7.5 million viewers on BBC One. The match had 2.6 million live views on BBC's online platforms.

• The women's final, won by Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan against Ons Jabeur of Tunisia (3-6, 6-2, 6-2), reached a peak audience of 3.1 million viewers (4.5 million in 2021) on BBC One. The match also drew 712,000 views on BBC platforms.
