Serie A: the City of Florence will study the stadium draft of ACF Fiorentina

"We are at a specific point in the progress of the new stadium. The conference of the City Services will take place on 27/10/2014 to assess the proposal made by ACF Fiorentina (Serie A TIM)," said Dario Nardella, the mayor of Florence (Italy), on 22/09/2014.

Fiorentina has submitted to the City of Florence a feasibility study on its stadium draft on 14/07/2014. The proposed 40,000-seater enclosure would not have a running track, as opposed to the more classical form of the Artemio Franchi (capacity 47,300) occupied by the club since 1931. The private structure would be located on the area currently occupied by the Mercafir food market, north of the Tuscan capital. The amount of the project is estimated at €305m.

• "We are scrupulous and careful about all aspects. We are aware of the complexity of the project, but we are ready to choose a path whose direction is clear. This stadium is not only a response to the supporters of Fiorentina, it is primarily a project for the City that will create more than 3,000 jobs.
