Manchester United could play more friendly matches abroad to replace Champions League revenue

Manchester United ( Barclays Premier League), having not qualified for the 2014-15 Champions League after finishing seventh in the Premier League in 2013-14, could participate in additional friendly matches abroad to replace the revenue from competition, said Richard Arnold, the managing director the club, on 29/09/2014.

"That's (international friendlies) something we continue to look at, as always making sure that the preparations we do on the pitch come first,'' the club leader told the Associated Press.
