The British bank Standard Chartered has extended as a major partner and main shirt sponsor of Liverpool FC (Premier League) for four additional seasons (2023-2027), announced the club on 14/07/2022.

The annual sponsorship fee will be increased to £50m (€59.1m), the most expensive agreement in the English Championship ahead of TeamViewer (software) and Manchester United FC (£47m/season, €54.8m as of 19/03/2021), according to the British media. Standard Chartered pay £40m (€45.6m as of 24/05/2018) per season over the 2019-2023 cycle, the third highest fee in the Premier League in 2022-23. Liverpool FC generated £217.58m (€253.1m) in commercial revenue in 2020-21.

This partnership began in 2010-11 and is therefore set to last for 17 seasons, one year less than the record-breaking contract between Liverpool FC and the Danish beer brand Carlsberg (1992-2010), the Reds' previous main shirt sponsor. Standard Chartered is the fifth main shirt sponsor of the English club since 1979-80 (Hitachi, Crown Paints, Candy then Carlsberg).
