UEFA: Oppo (smartphones), first Chinese brand to partner with the Champions League (2022-2024)

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has become a "global partner" of the Champions League for two seasons (2022-2024), announced UEFA on 18/07/2022. The agreement also includes sponsorship rights for the Super Cup, the Futsal Champions League finals and the Youth League finals (U19 Champions League).

Oppo is the first Chinese company to become a partner of the Champions League. The Dongguan (Guangdong, CHN) based company will "enjoy high visibility", appearing on the interview backdrops and in stadiums as well as on the competition's communication media. "Oppo will offer football fans the unique opportunity to go pitch-side throughout the UEFA Champions League season and capture key moments with OPPO smartphones," explained the body.

Oppo joins Mastercard (payment solutions, USA), Heineken (beer, NED), PepsiCo (beverages, USA), Just Eat Takeaway.com (meal delivery service, NED), FedEx (logistics, USA) and PlayStation (video game console, Sony, JPN) as an official partner of the Champions League for the 2022-2024 cycle
