ReportCalcio 2022: 1% of the €21.7bn invested for 187 stadiums in Europe (2007-2021) spent in Italy

1% of the €21.7bn investment in Europe over the last 15 years (2007-2021) to build 187 new stadiums has been spent in Italy, where five new facilities have been inaugurated in that period (for Juventus FC and Udinese Calcio in the Serie A TIM, Frosinone in the Serie BKT, Albinoleffe and Südtirol in Serie C), according to the 2022 edition of the ReportCalcio published by the FIGC on 13/07/2022.

"The launch of an investment programme for the construction of a new generation of football facilities in Italy seems increasingly inevitable, in order to reduce the ever-widening gap at international level: between 2007 and 2021, Turkey and Poland each inaugurated 29 facilities, Germany 17 and Russia 16," underlined the Italian Football Federation.

The ReportCalcio is an annual report produced by the Italian Football Federation's Study Centre, in collaboration with AREL (Agenzia di Ricerche e Legislazione/Agency for Research and Legislation) and PwC Italia (PricewaterhouseCoopers).
