Stade de France incidents: the French Senate publishes its information report (F-N. Buffet/L. Lafon)

"Information report on behalf of the Senate's Committee on Constitutional Law, Legislation, Universal Suffrage, Regulations and General Administration (chaired by François-Noël Buffet) and the Committee on Culture, Education and Communication (chaired by Laurent Lafon) on the incidents at the Stade de France on 28/05/2022" is the title of the 237-page document (available to download, in French) published by the French Senate on 20/07/2022

"On 28/05/2022, images relayed by television channels and social networks showed scenes of chaos around the Stade de France, which was hosting the UEFA Champions League final. The many difficulties encountered that evening did not prevent the match from taking place nor the trophy from being presented. However, they did raise serious questions about France's ability to organise major sporting events, particularly in view of the Rugby World Cup France 2023 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024," state the senators in the foreword.
