France: François Morinière to step down as CEO of L'Équipe on 31/10/2014

François Morinière will step down as the CEO of the French daily newspaper L'Équipe on 31/10/2014, announced the Amaury Group that owns L'Équipe on 01/10/2014. He has held the post since 2008.

Francis Morinière, 50 years old, will be temporarily replaced by Philippe Carli, the CEO of the Amaury Group, "with the goal of continuing the transformation and development L'Équipe faces with the challenges of the evolving media world," the company said.

  • The SAS L'Équipe media group includes, besides the daily L'Équipe, the weekly France Football, the weekly l'Équipe Mag, the free-TV DTT channel L'Équipe 21, plus the websites of all these titles, including lequipe.fr.
