FIFA: 2016 Copa América Centenario added to the official events calendar (from 03/06 to 26/06/2016)

The 2016 Copa América Centenario, a special edition of the Copa America to celebrate the centennial of CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation), has been added to the official events calendar of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), the international organisation confirmed on 26/09/2014.

The decision means that all participating CONMEBOL and CONCACAF (Confederation of Football in North America, Central and Caribbean) countries will be able to make a mandatory call for the services of their players from any club in the world.

The Copa América Centenario will be held in the United States (cities and venues to be determined later) from 03/06 to 26/06/2016. This means the tournament will overlap with Euro 2016 (France, 10/06 to 10/07/2016) for 17 days.
