Nigeria: Amaju Pinnick elected president of the Federation until 2018

Amaju Pinnick was elected president of the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) until 2018, at the exceptional congress of the Federation in Warri (Nigeria) on 30/09/2014. Currently the president of the football association of the Delta (Nigerian state), Pinnick became the winner in the second round of voting with 32 votes out of 44, ahead of Dominic Iorfa (8 votes).

This election was held following the refusal of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) to recognise the election of Christopher Giwa, president of Giwa FC (in the Nigerian first division), as president of the Nigerian Federation at the congress of the NFF on 26/08/2014.
