Formula One: 1.69 million viewers in France for the 2022 French Grand Prix on Canal+ and C8

The Formula One French Grand Prix, the 12^th of the 2022 season, won by Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing), drew an average of 1.69 million viewers in France, with a peak audience of 1.99 million during the first lap, on the pay-TV channel Canal+ and on the free DTT channel C8 (Canal+ group), on Sunday 24/07/2022 (race start at 15:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie, communicated by Canal+.

This is the second Grand Prix of the 2022 season to be broadcast free-to-air by the Canal+ group, which is required to broadcast four races for free each season as part of its contract with Formula One.

Last season, the French Grand Prix drew an average of 1.02 million viewers on Canal+ and an average of 855,000 viewers on C8 on 20/06/2021.
