Rugby World Cup 2023: final qualification tournament to be held in Dubai (UAE) from 06-18/11/2022

The Sevens Stadium in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) will host the final qualification tournament for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France (08/09 to 28/10/2023) from 06 to 18/11/2022, announced World Rugby on 25/07/2022.

This tournament will determine the 20^th and final qualified nation for the 2023 World Cup. Four teams from four continents are competing: Hong Kong, Kenya, Portugal and the USA.

"Played over three match days from 06-18/11/2022, the four teams will face each other in a round-robin format with the team accruing the most competition points securing the last place at France 2023. They will take their place in Pool C alongside Wales, Australia, Fiji and Georgia," explained the body.

Tonga are the 19^th team to qualify for the World Cup in France following their 44-22 victory over Hong Kong in a play-off match played in Australia on 23/07/2022. Tonga, who have played in every Rugby World Cup finals except 1991, are in Group B, which includes South Africa, Scotland, Ireland and Romania.
