FC Girondins de Bordeaux: CNOSF in favour of keeping the club in Ligue 2, FFF decision on 27/07/2022

The CNOSF has issued an opinion in favour of keeping FC Girondins de Bordeaux in the Ligue 2 BKT, on 25/07/2022, four days after having had a hearing with the club on 21/07/2022.

The French National Olympic and Sports Committee's opinion is consultative: the regulations stipulate that the FFF's executive committee has the final decision. This body, which is chaired by Noël Le Graët, is due to meet by videoconference on Wednesday 27/07/2022, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe.

"All of the commitments were approved by the Commercial Court of Bordeaux in a ruling on 19/07/2022. During the hearing, the applicant club was able to clear up any remaining doubts and questions regarding these commitments," said CNOSF conciliators Philippe Missika and Marc Peltier, in support of their decision.

"The club is not only not in a state of cessation of payments, but has provided elements, documents and evidence of the availability of funds necessary to ensure the continuity of operations for the coming sports season," said the CNOSF in its conclusions to which AFP had access.
