Amazon Prime: an increase in subscription fees in Europe from 15/09/2022

Amazon Prime subscription fees will increase in Europe from 15/09/2022, announced the American e-commerce group on 26/07/2022. These subscriptions include access to the Prime Video streaming platform.

• In France, the monthly price will increase from €5.99 per month to €6.99, and the annual subscription price will be €69.90 instead of €49 at present.

• In the UK, the monthly subscription fee will increase from £7.99 (€9.42) to £8.99 (€10.60) and the annual fee from £79 (€93.15) to £95 (€112).

• In Germany, the monthly price will be €8.99 per month instead of €7.99 currently, and the annual subscription will increase from €69 to €89.90.

• In Spain and Italy, the monthly fee will increase by €1 to €4.99 per month, and the annual fee will increase from €36 to €49.90.

"This change is related to increased inflation and operation costs," explained the platform on 26/07/2022.
