"There are concerns before every Olympic Games. If there weren't, I would be worried: it would mean that we are not aware of the enormity of the task. The Olympic Games are perhaps the most complex event in the world," said Thomas Bach (GER), IOC president since 10/09/2013, to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 26/07/2022, two years to the day before the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

The arrival of the Tour de France cyclist on the Champs-Élysées on Sunday 24/07/2022, a meeting with Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, then a first visit to the headquarters of the COJO Paris 2024 on Monday 25/07/2022: Thomas Bach had the opportunity to check up on the French organisation with two years to go.

"There is great unity between the Organising Committee and the authorities, which is essential for the organisation of the Games," said the IOC president to L'Équipe.
