2022 FA Community Shield: Liverpool - Manchester City at the King Power Stadium on 30/07/2022

Liverpool FC (Premier League), the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup winners and Manchester City FC (Premier League), the 2021-22 English champions, will play each other for the 2022 FA Community Shield at the King Power Stadium (32,262 capacity) in Leicester (ENG) on Saturday 30/07/2022 (kick-off at 17:00 local time, 18:00 CET). The match will be broadcast free-to-air in the UK by the British private free-TV group ITV.

Manchester City narrowly beat Liverpool by 1 point to win the 2021-22 Premier League title, while Liverpool defeated Chelsea FC (6-5 on penalties) in the final of the Emirates FA Cup on 14/05/2022.

"The 100^th edition of the season's traditional 'curtain raiser' will be hosted at the home of the 2021 winners as the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 Final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium (90,000 capacity) over the same weekend," explained The FA.
