Tour de France Femmes: 19.8 million viewers in France for the first edition on France Télévisions

"19.8 million French people, i.e. 34% of the population, watched this first edition of the Tour de France Femmes (from 24 to 31/07/2022), which ended yesterday at the Super Planche des Belles Filles," announced the public audiovisual group France Télévisions on 01/08/2022.

"In the afternoons on France 3: an average of 2.1 million viewers (26.1% audience share) for the seven stages of the race broadcast on France 3. The Tour de France Femmes enabled the channel to be the leader each day in the time slot concerned."

"Four of the eight stages exceeded or reached 2 million viewers. The finish at the Super Planche des Belles Filles drew an average of 3.3 million viewers (30.9% audience share) with a peak of 5.1 million viewers (at 17:45 CET). The start of the race on 24/07/2022 on France 2 drew 3.1 million viewers (27.8% audience share)."

"On the platforms France.tv, franceinfo and the France tv sport app, 1.2 million videos were viewed throughout the competition."

The Tour de France Femmes was also broadcast on the pay-TV channel Eurosport 1 in France.
