2014 summer transfer window: La Liga BBVA receives 55.1% of its revenues from Premier League clubs

La Liga BBVA, the first championship UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) coefficient standings, receives 55.1% of its transfer revenue (€531.1m) from the Barclays Premier League, second in the UEFA rankings, during 2014 summer transfer market (01/07 to 09/01/2014). With €292.8m in purchases from La Liga this summer, the English first division is the biggest customer for its Spanish counterpart.

The Premier League is also the second largest market for La Liga's transfer spending, with €97.5m in purchases by Spanish clubs in England during the 2014 summer, or 20.3% of the total spending of La Liga BBVA (€480.49m). La Liga buys first and foremost from within its own league: €118m, or 24.6% of transfer expenditures.
