Euro 2016: FFF launches the "Volontaires" program to recruit 6,000 volunteers

The "Volontaires" ("Volunteers") program for Euro 2016 (finals in France from 10/06 to 10/07/2016) has been started by the FFF (French Football Federation) on 20/09/2014.

The objective is to identify and train 6,000 volunteers for the ten host cities (official venues, hotels, stadiums, and more) for the final stage of the competition in various areas: ceremonies, competitions, media, logistics, transport, hospitality, accreditation, hospitality and spectator services.

The first step of the "Volontaires" program is a tour of regional leagues

• A tour of the regional leagues has been organised since September 2014, which will be "particularly involved actors in terms of identification and preparation of these volunteers," said the FFF.
• "We rely on leagues and districts to accommodate teams of recruiters (ten to fifteen per site) and serve as base sites for training," said Albert Gemmrich, the Executive Committee member responsible for the program at the Federal Assembly on 31/05/2014.
