Leicester City FC: King Power Stadium, first in Europe to install a "frictionless kiosk"

Leicester City FC (Premier League) has become the first club in Europe to install a "frictionless kiosk" in its stadium (King Power Stadium), announced the club on 06/08/2022. It consists of a food and beverage area which uses technology to reduce the number of payment steps in the customer journey to a minimum, in order to improve the fan experience and allow supporters to save time when buying.

To benefit from this "Tap + Go experience" operated by Levy UK+I (Compass Group), which specialises in sports hospitality, spectators must scan their payment card at the kiosk entrance. Selected items are detected and added directly to a virtual shopping cart. Payment is made automatically at the exit of the kiosk, without any additional action required from the buyer.

Introduced on 30/07/2022 during the Community Shield (Liverpool FC - Manchester City FC, 3-1) in the North Stand family section of the King Power Stadium, this feature will soon be extended to the entire stadium and will be available for all Leicester City home games.
