LaLiga: Nissan to promote its "e-Power" technology in the Spanish leagues in 2022-23

The Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has become a regional partner of the Spanish leagues (LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank) for the 2022-23 season, announced LaLiga on 09/08/2022. This agreement covers the Spanish market only.

With this partnership, Nissan aims to promote its "e-Power" hybrid technology. "The e-Power technology will be very present in LaLiga during this season, associating its name to certain matches, players of the week, among other activations. Nissan intends to use LaLiga as a platform to promote its technology through the players themselves," said the Spanish body.

Nissan succeeds Mazda (JPN), the "official car partner" of LaLiga over the 2016-2022 period.

An official sponsor of the UEFA Champions League between 2014-15 and 2020-21, Nissan had refocused its sponsorship activities around its partnership with City Football Group, including its affiliated club Manchester City FC (Premier League). This agreement, in force since 2014-15, was extended on 04/11/2021.
