Borussia Dortmund: president Reinhard Rauball will not stand for re-election in November 2022

"After a total of 23 years in office, 75-year-old Dr. Reinhard Rauball, president of BV. Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund (the club's association), will not stand for re-election at the club's upcoming general meeting in November 2022," announced Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) on 09/08/2022.

"Dr Reinhard Rauball will recommend his current deputy, Dr Reinhold Lunow, as his successor to the election committee," added the German club.

Reinhard Rauball thus completes his eighth term as president of Borussia Dortmund's association (BV Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund, part of the Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA business structure). He has held this position continuously since 2004, after having also held it previously, from 1979 to 1982 and from 1984 to 1986. In November 2019, the lawyer by training had been re-elected at the club's annual general members' assembly, receiving 99.82% of the votes of the members present (1,165 of a total of 159,037 members).
