2022-23 LaLiga Santander: all you need to know regarding broadcasters in Spain and internationally

Club Atletico Osasuna - Sevilla FC, on Matchday 1 of the 2022-23 LaLiga Santander season, will be broadcast, in Spain, on the pay-TV channel Movistar LaLiga (Telefonica) on Friday 12/08/2022 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). The other games of this first matchday will be broadcast via the pay-TV channels of the Movistar+ package or the OTT platform DAZN. Athletic Club Bilbao - RCD Mallorca will also be broadcast free-to-air on the free DTT channel Gol (Mediapro) on Monday 15/08/2022 (kick-off at 17:30 CET).

LaLiga Santander, which will switch from Banco Santander to EA Sports (video game publisher) as title sponsor from 2023-24, is entering a new broadcasting rights cycle in Spain. Over the 2022-2027 cycle, Movistar+ (Telefonica's pay-TV package) and DAZN will each broadcast five games per matchday of equivalent choice, on 35 of the 38 matchdays. Three matchdays per season will be broadcast exclusively on Movistar+. These rights were acquired for €4.95bn (i.e. €990m per season on average) on 13/12/2021.
