France/FFF: Konami, "official football video game partner" of the men's national team until 2026

Konami, a Japanese video game publisher, has entered into a partnership with the Fédération Française de Football to become the "official football video game partner" of the men's national team until 2026, announced the French body on 11/08/2022.

"Les Bleus will join the eFootball license (formerly PES, now available for free) and the FFF will be associated with a selection of international esports events. This contract includes image and activation rights," said the French Federation.

"We have the same ambition to innovate and offer the best experiences to football and gaming fans. Konami's expertise is an excellent opportunity to boost the growth of esports in France," said François Vasseur, marketing director at the FFF.

The French men's and women's national teams are currently available on eFootball's competitor licence, FIFA 22, a video game published by EA Sports. The French men's team will continue to be featured on both games, as the partnership with Konami is only exclusive regarding the marketing rights, said the FFF to News Tank.
