Sponsorship: major changes among the 20 Serie A TIM clubs for the 2022-23 season

The 2022-23 Serie A TIM season begins this Saturday 13/08/2022 with 63 new sponsorship deals among the 20 competing clubs (as of 12/08/2022), compared to 202 for the entire 2021-22 season.

Konami was the most active sponsor throughout the off-season. The Japanese publisher became the training kit sponsor of the top two teams in 2021-22: Italian champions AC Milan, as well as FC Inter Milan. Konami, which is already the title sponsor of SSC Napoli's training centre, has also entered into a similar agreement with Inter. The developer of the eFootball licence (formerly known as "PES") has also signed a licensing agreement with promoted side AC Monza, but has lost its partnership with Juventus FC to its main competitor EA Sports (FIFA 22 licence). 

Inter Milan have switched from Socios.com (fan tokens) to DigitalBits (via their Zytara Labs brand), another crypto-asset operator, as their main shirt sponsor. DigitalBits, which was the Milanese club's sleeve sponsor in 2021-33, is also the main shirt sponsor of AS Roma for the 2021-2025 cycle. Two other clubs have a new main shirt sponsor…
