Valencia CF: Layhoon Chan, president from December 2014 to July 2017, returns as head of the club

"The board of directors of Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander) is pleased to announce the appointment of Layhoon Chan as president of the club. She will oversee the operations of the club with the support of the local management and be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the club," announced Valencia CF on 17/08/2022.

The Singaporean returns as president of Valencia CF, a position she previously held between December 2014 and July 2017. She takes over from her compatriot Anil Murthy (who had himself replaced her in 2017), who was dismissed on 30/05/2022 after "making controversial comments to players, fans and former managers of the Valencia (ESP) club." Khojama Kalimuddin (SIN), a board member since December 2019, had been serving as interim director since June 2022.
