Qatar 2022: the first cultural and entertainment events (fan zones, festivals, etc.) unveiled

• More than 6,000 performances in 21 locations as part of the "Last-Mile Cultural Activation" (visual arts, crafts and heritage, fashion and design, performance art, music and film screenings);
• the FIFA Fan Festival (live match broadcast, stage performances, etc.) as the main fan zone at Al Bidda Park;
• the Arcadia Spectacular dance music festival near Ras Bu Fontas metro station.

These are some of the main cultural and entertainment events that will take place in and around Doha (QAT) during the 2022 World Cup, as unveiled by the FIFA competition's Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) on 13/08/2022, less than 100 days before the opening ceremony, which has been advanced from 21 to 20/11/2022.

"The major events will feature match viewing areas, music festivals, cultural displays and street performances," said the SC. Most of the events will be held on the Corniche, which stretches 6 kilometers from the Sheraton Hotel to the Museum of Islamic Art Park and is expected to attract "more than 120,000 people at peak times," according to the organisers.
