Manchester City: 4 young leaders from Mumbai (IND) hosted to reward their water management project

Cityzens Giving, a charity of Manchester City FC (Premier League), and Xylem, an American water management company and partner of the club, "welcomed young leaders from Mumbai (IND) to Manchester (ANG) during a week after a fan vote," the club said on 08/16/2022.

"In 2021, Cityzens Giving and Xylem launched Water Heroes Academy, a global network of projects to educate and inspire young leaders to tackle water challenges in their communities using the power of football," explained Man City. Of the five projects (Cape Town, Mumbai, New York, Shanghai and São Paulo) presented to City fans and "after thousands of fan votes, Mumbai came out on top," said the club.

"Our Water Heroes from Mumbai visited Manchester for a week of learning and inspiration in leadership, community football and water sustainability, rounded off with a trip to the Etihad Stadium (55,097 capacity) to watch City in action for our first home game of the season (4-0 win over Brentford FC, Matchday 2 of the 2022-23 Premier League).
