Qatar 2022: 2.45 million tickets already sold, including 520,000 between 05/07 and 16/08/2022

2.45 million tickets for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar have already been sold, announced FIFA, organiser of the competition, on 18/08/2022, 94 days before the opening match (Qatar-Ecuador, Group A, Sunday 20/11/2022, kick-off at 17:00 CET) and four months to the day before the final at the Lusail Stadium (Sunday 18/12/2022).

Qatar, USA, England, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, France, Argentina, Brazil and Germany are the leading 10 countries in terms of ticket purchases.

"In the last sales period alone, which ran from 05/07 to 16/08/2022 when fans were able to buy tickets on a first-come, first-served basis via FIFA.com/tickets, a total of 520,532 tickets were sold. The biggest number of allocated tickets were for group-stage matches such as Cameroon - Brazil, Brazil - Serbia, Portugal - Uruguay, Costa Rica - Germany, and Australia - Denmark," said the International Federation.
