Social Networks: Real Madrid reaches 13 million followers on Twitter

Real Madrid (Liga BBVA) reached the milestone of 13 million followers on the social network Twitter, on 06/10/2014. The Spanish club had the highest increase in September 2014, with 362,900 additional followers (+3%), and remains the most followed sports club in the world on Twitter.

FC Barcelona retains second place in the ranking with 12.8 million followers, including 240,000 new (1.87%) in September 2014. Arsenal (Barclays Premier League) completes the podium, as it became the third European club to surpass the 4.5 million followers.
