Italy: "I hope that the next government will support the bid to host Euro 2032" (G. Gravina)

"I hope that the next government will support the bid to host Euro 2032 (football). Italy's bid was a commitment by Mario Draghi's government and was inspired by a sense of responsibility for a project to revive and restructure the infrastructure. And I think that this can only be beneficial for the economy and football in our country," said Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation, on Radio Anch'io Sport (Rai, Radio 1) on 22/08/2022.

Mario Draghi, President of the Italian Council of Ministers since 13/02/2021, presented the resignation of his government on 21/07/2022 after having lost the support of several elements of his very broad coalition. The government is therefore managing current affairs while waiting for the legislative elections scheduled for 25/09/2022, which could be won by a coalition formed around the post-fascist movement "Fratelli d'Italia".
