Minnesota Twins (MLB) have partnered with US digital marketing company Stagwell and its ARound platform to bring an augmented reality experience to fans at Target Field (38,540 capacity), the Minneapolis (USA) franchise's stadium, announced both parties on 22/08/2022.

By pointing their smartphones at the field using the ARound app (see below), fans traveling to the stadium will have access to a multi-user augmented reality world, live visual effects, games, and the ability to participate in shared interactive experiences. Fans will also be able to interact with live content as the teams take to the field, as well as during the game's action, including home runs.

The technology used to create this experience is based on 3D spatial computing, which locates content for each user throughout the venue, allowing viewers at Target Field to see the same 3D effects in real time and participate in the same experiences.
