Tennis/US Open 2022: all you need to know regarding broadcasters in the USA and internationally

The 2022 US Open Grand Slam, which will be held at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York City from Monday, 29/08/2022 to Sunday, 11/09/2022, will be broadcast in the United States on ESPN (The Walt Disney Company) pay-per-view channels.

"For the 14th consecutive year, and seventh as the US Open's exclusive domestic media partner, ESPN will provide comprehensive, first-ball-to-last coverage throughout the tournament. This includes nearly 140 hours on TV via ESPN and ESPN2, while offering tennis fans a 'digital grounds pass' with more than 1,000 hours of coverage from all courts streaming live across ESPN3, ESPN+ and the ESPN app," explained the US Open.

ESPN holds the exclusive full broadcasting rights to the US Open over the 2015-2026 cycle for a total of $770m (€772.3m), or $70m (€70.2m) per year.

Europe (excluding UK and Ireland): Eurosport

  • The tournament will be broadcast by the pay-TV group Eurosport, which holds the broadcasting rights in Europe (excluding the UK and Ireland) to the US Open over the 2018-2022 cycle.
