Ligue 1: Montpellier region hit by floods, stadium of Montpellier HSC may be unavailable 3 months

"We estimate unavailability of three months. Best case scenario, we hope to get the stadium back in December," said Laurent Nicollin, president of Montpellier HSC (Ligue 1) on 07/10/2014, following flooding affecting the Mosson Stadium (capacity 32,950) on the night of 06/10 to 07/10/2014.

The pitch, the press room, the locker rooms and some boxes of the Mosson Stadium were heavily affected. The water reached the 5^th row of the Étang de Thau stand at the peak of precipitation. The Mosson Stadium had already been hit by floods on 30/09/2014.
