France/FFF: Amateur Football Support Fund (FAFA) and its €16.85m in funding open for 2022-23

"The Fonds d'Aide au Football Amateur (Amateur Football Support Fund, FAFA) is open for 2022-23. For this season, the budget allocated to amateur football is €101.1m, a level never before reached. Out of this funding, the FFF is devoting nearly €17m (€16.85m) to the FAFA and its various components," said the FFF on 24/08/2022.

"The FAFA is an annual contribution from the French Football Federation which aims to support the development and structuring of amateur football. This budgetary envelope is largely funded by the FFF, its major partners and the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) out of solidarity with the amateur world," explained the Federation.

"The FFF has made it a priority to support its clubs and their communities. Every year, it provides significant economic support for their development and structuring projects. In 2020-21 and 2021-22, despite the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the planned aid has thus been maintained at €90m," added the body.
