Cycling: Zwift, "virtual fitness platform" of the 2023 UCI World Championships in Scotland

Zwift, a global online training and competition platform for athletes, has become an official partner of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships to be held in Glasgow and throughout Scotland, announced the international body on 25/08/2022. The event will take place from 03 to 13/08/2023.

Zwift thus becomes the "official virtual fitness platform" of the event. "Zwift's mission to get more people, more active, more often aligns with the purpose-led vision of the 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds of 'people, place and planet'. The partnership with Zwift will help significantly widen the Championships' reach and engagement with Zwift's global audience by driving mass participation and increased activity on the virtual platform," said the International Cycling Union.

Zwift hosted the first two editions of the UCI Esports World Championships in 2020 and 2021 on its platform. The American company was also the supplier of the 2019 UCI Road World Championships.
