"Small symbol, big effect. SV Werder Bremen (Bundesiga) is improving the accessibility of its official website for the visually impaired with the help of Eye-Able (GER) assistive software," announced the club on 31/08/2022.

"From now on, visitors to werder.de can use an icon on the right-hand side of the screen to access over 25 functions to adapt the website to their individual visual needs," explained Werder, which points out that "1.2 million people in Germany alone are considered to have impaired vision. A number that continues to grow strongly due to the ageing society."

For several years now, visually impaired Werder Bremen fans who visit the Weserstadion (42,100 capacity) have been able to benefit from live audio description of matches thanks to "WerderFM."
