FRA/Amazon: around 1.7 million Pass Ligue 1 subscribers at the end of June 2022 (Harris/NPA Conseil)

Amazon's Pass Ligue 1 offer in France is reported to have had around 1.7 million subscribers at the end of the 2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT seasons (1.5 million in March 2022, 1.8 million in December 2021), according to a survey carried out "at the end of June" 2022 for the OTT barometer NPA Conseil (a consultancy specialised in the media)/Harris Interactive (opinion polls and marketing studies), the results of which were published on 01/09/2022.

• 30% of subscribers to the OTT platform Prime Video have also subscribed to an offer provided by the pay and free-TV group Canal+.

• 49% of subscribers to both Prime Video and Pass Ligue 1 also subscribe to a Canal+ offer.

• 55% of subscribers to a Canal+ offer indicated that the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, the Champions League and the Premier League had an influence on their decision to subscribe to the Pass Ligue 1.

• Amazon acquired the broadcasting rights in France, to 85% of Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches, including 80% on an exclusive basis (including the 10 top fixtures of the season) and 80% of Ligue 2 BKT matches, over the 2021-2024…
