Financial Fair Play: 4 Serie A clubs, 3 Ligue 1 clubs & 1 Turkish club sanctioned by UEFA

Four Serie A TIM clubs; AS Roma, FC Inter Milan, Juventus FC and AC Milan, three Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs; Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco FC; as well as Turkish club Besiktas JK, have been sanctioned by the First Chamber of UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) for failing to comply with the "break-even requirement" i.e. a maximum authorised deficit of €30m over three accounting periods, announced the European Confederation on 02/09/2022. Only clubs that participated in UEFA's European club competitions in 2021-22 were affected.

Paris Saint-Germain is the club that faces the heaviest financial penalty (€65m, of which €10m is to be paid immediately and €55m is conditional on the club meeting the targets of the settlement agreement imposed by the CFCB), ahead of AS Roma (€35m, of which €30m is conditional) and Inter Milan (€26m, of which €22m is conditional). Conversely, Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco FC were the clubs that were fined the least (€2m, of which €1.7m was conditional).
