Spain: DAZN acquires global broadcasting rights to the women's first division (2022-2027, €7m/year)

DAZN has acquired the Spanish and international broadcasting rights to the Primera División Femenina (Spanish women's first division) for the next five seasons until 2026-27, announced the OTT platform on 05/09/2022.

In Spain, DAZN will broadcast all the games, including seven out of eight exclusively each matchday. The Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro will co-broadcast, with the streaming platform, one game per matchday (free-to-air on its DTT channel Gol). Internationally, DAZN will broadcast exclusively "the best games, highlights and analysis of each match, pre- and post-game interviews and much more."

The total value of the rights is reported to be €36m, or €7.2m per season until 2026-27, according to Spanish media. DAZN will reportedly be paying €35m for domestic and international rights, while Mediapro will pay €1m.
