Bundesliga: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter accounts of the 18 clubs (September 2022)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2021-22 Bundesliga season have more than 185 million fans on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/09/2022. The Bundesliga, which has an average of 10 million fans per club, is the least followed European Top 5 league on these four social networks combined.

FC Bayern Munich, German champions in 2021-22, are the most popular German club with nearly 108 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund (41 million) and Bayer 04 Leverkusen (6 million).

Bayern was the club that posted the best growth in absolute value during the month of August 2022 with nearly 1.3 million additional fans, 39% of which (+500,000 followers) were on TikTok alone.

VfB Stuttgart posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs on TikTok (+375%) where it has had an official account since the summer. VfL Wolfsburg was the club that posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+31.6%), while RB Leipzig experienced the best growth on Facebook (+3.9%) and Twitter (+2.5%).
