Sky Sports: Anna Kessel appointed executive director of development in the UK

Anna Kessel has been appointed executive director of development of Sky Sports (pay-TV) in the UK, announced the British pay-TV operator Sky on 07/09/2022.

"Anna Kessel will help deliver our goals on growing audiences, work with the leadership team and our partners to drive our inclusive culture ambitions. It is the perfect time to be bringing someone of Anna’s expertise into the team as we look to build on the hard work done to establish our position as the UK’s largest broadcaster of and investor in women’s sport," said Jonathan Licht, managing director of Sky Sports.

Anna Kessel was the women's sports editor at The Telegraph from March 2019 to September 2022, and a sports journalist at The Guardian for 15 years from 2004 to 2019. She is also a co-founder of Women in Football, an organisation which promotes women in football, where she was a board member between June 2006 and May 2017.
